The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) exists to investigate complaints about unfair treatment or poor service by government departments, public organisations and the NHS in England. It commissioned us to run two storytelling workshops as it recognised the need for a much clearer and jargon-free style of writing that would help raise its profile among its audiences. After each workshop the participants returned to their jobs better able to write more clearly and concisely, with the skills to give all stories a compelling and logical structure and the confidence to adapt their writing to different audiences and different media channels.
